Equalizer APO is a parametric / graphic equalizer for Windows. It is implemented
as an Audio Processing Object (APO) for the system effect infrastructure
introduced with Windows Vista.
Requirements:
- Windows Vista or later (Windows 7 - 11 have been tested)
- CPU architecture x64 (64 bit), x86 (32 bit) or ARM64 (on Windows 10/11)

(APIs like ASIO or WASAPI exclusive mode can't be used)
Equalizer APO can be used in conjunction with Room EQ Wizard (http://www.roomeqwizard.com/), because it can read its filter text file format.

I am now just an old guy(70), that appreciates great music. I used to be the sound tech for many of the local bands "back in the day". I output my PC via USB to a Tascam US-1641, then through a dbx-DriveRack PA+, Bi Amped through 4000 watts on the bottom, and 2000 on the mids-high, 2 channels. I became "tired" of Win10 default sound and didn't want to have to go to the rack for every song, so I searched for good Win10 EQ's. Here I am. I cannot give this program,(app?), enough stars! It is so fantastic, that I took the time to register with Soundforge, so that I could just give credit to this program. I have never done this before, but this time I couldn't let it slide, it is so impressive, that I had to give my opinion for this super feature. I am sure that some will find this program useless, and if that's the case, I strongly suggest to look for a different system, ( amps, speakers, etc.), instead of trying to use software to fix an unfixable situation. I want to thank the designer of this program(app) whatever it's called these days, for the time spent building this, and sharing it for all of us so that we can "pull" everything from our systems.

It damaged the audio system on my operating system even though I made no configuration changes. I only installed the driver for my audio device and launched the equalizer interface. After that, the sound system was broken, and I was unable to revert the changes. Restoring a previously saved system restore point did not help. Do not install this piece of software.
